Twenty nine more days until the, springtime comes
I watch the sun cross the sky
I walk this line as the, daylight runs
Straight down the vernal timeline
It won’t be long now the, birds are singing
To catch the morning’s glow
They sing a song that the seasons bringing
To melt the ice and the snow
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of the winter
Hibernal dreams to rest the soul
Every season has its, own ways to center
And every season takes its toll
Seasons come and as seasons go
That circle spins us ‘round and ‘round
But springtime seems just so, apropos
It sets us back on solid ground
Twenty nine more days until the, spring is here
I’m counting down the nights
I find a way to be, so aware, of the
World in every sunrise
Strolling through fields where the snow collects
Between the walls and the trees
Clear winter nights when the sun just rests
The rising moon will reprise
I will be fine be it rain or shine
When springtime sounds are in the air
That fragrant balm and the smell of the pine
Wildflowers blossom everywhere
Seasons come and as seasons go
Just take them on one by one
Twenty nine more days until the, springtime comes
I watch the sun cross the sky
