The images of the people of Ukraine being tortured by a modern day demon and of course his followers continued to haunt me and invoked the writing of this song. I know we have seen many invasions and our country itself has been guilty at times. However not since WWII have we seen this type of downright evil, unprovoked (not even based on a plausible lie) type of attack.

This song begs the question: "Where is the Love that brought us to life. "

Between these ears, rage the fears, of moments yet to come
Comatose, within its host, a battle has begun
These simian ways of men at war, blast away the future
As unhinged greed fuels the hate, to motivate the abuser
Things get worse prolonging the curse, killing more each day
Where is the love that brought us to life
Below above what's wrong and what's right

Look to the east, to find the beast, doling out the pain
There rules a fool, the outdated tool, of Satan's evil reign
His words and ways they favor the past with disregard for fate
Reflecting waves of past mistakes, lets hope it's not too late
I see the world turn as cities burn, casting shadows without light
Where is the love that brought us to life

Leaving behind, just to survive, the freedom they once built
Behind the eyes soldiers of lies, telling signs of guilt
Marching on, the knell of war, the bane of our existence
Life goes on, though not for long, punished for their resistance
How will it end, bravado must bend, beware the tale of the prophet
Where is the love that brought us to life
